Painted yesterday with students from the UofW. Had a great time seeing their work and getting out and sketching. Looking forward to doing more.

Mountain views continue

I continue on the theme of mountain peaks. I have been intrigued with abstracting the structure and power of the forms as well as depicting the life of a mountain. This image is inspired from a view of Mt. Hood up Zig Zag canyon.

I have been working the past two weeks on abstracting, experimenting with media and shape. These two tree studies are the result of my latest work so far.

emerson workshop

Spent 5 days in la conner at a workshop taught by Dawn Emerson. It was wonderful having her instruction and the time to paint. Here are a few piece I worked on while there.
